JASON TOURSCHER - COO/DIRECTOR OF PERMITTING
Mr. Tourscher has fifteen years of professional experience providing consulting services in the renewable energy, utility, land development, transportation, and municipal sectors. His professional experience includes environmental permitting, wetland delineations and threatened/endangered species surveys, federal and state reviews (NEPA, SEQRA, etc.), and municipal permitting (zoning and land development approvals) for projects throughout the United States.
As the Director of Permitting, he leads the development and permitting of utility-scale renewable energy projects throughout the United States, including the PJM, NYISO, MISO and SPP Energy Power Markets. His primary roles include the supervision of field and office staff, representation of clients’ interests with federal, state and local regulatory agencies, preparation of permit applications, and overseeing QAQC of project deliverables. Mr. Tourscher holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Ecology and Environmental Biology and a Master’s in Biology, both from Shippensburg University. He is recognized by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service as a qualified surveyor for Phase 1 bog turtle surveys in eastern New York, and holds a Wild Plant Management Permit for threatened and endangered plant surveys in Pennsylvania. |
