Waymart Wind Farm

Twelve years and blowing strong. In January 2002, Shoener assisted in obtaining the Pennsylvania DEP permits for this Wayne County, Pennsylvania, wind farm.  The 60-megawatt Waymart wind farm, which began generating clean energy in 2004, is one of the largest wind energy projects in the eastern U.S. The $60-million project included 47 wind turbines located on 858 acres. Shoener’s consulting capabilities were also utilized on environmental studies for this project.
